Our Services
Desert Minds Pty Ltd provides counselling, supervision, mediation, and group facilitation services and is based in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory.
With a focus on supporting those who support others, Desert Minds offers individuals, couples, and groups a range of short-term, solution-focused therapeutic services for a range of issues, such as:
- Relationship problems (couples, families)
- Family Dispute Resolution (pre-court, for separating couples with children)
- Workplace stress and interpersonal conflict management (mediation, coaching)
- Trauma (including DFSV, PTSD, vicarious trauma)
- Mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, stress, anger, body dysmorphia, sleep problems, pain management
- Addictions (substances, gambling)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Desert Minds invites Territory-based Not-for-Profits and non-Government Organisations to consider our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) contract services. EAP allowances for 3 to 6 sessions can help employees develop their coping skills, build resilience and self-awareness, and reduce the impacts of work-related stress with confidential, short-term, solution-focused counselling, when they need it.

Counselling & Supervision
Everyone experiences psychological distress at various times in our lives. In central Australia, the availability of a trauma-informed, person-centred counselling practice is essential to the physical and psychological safety, and emotional wellbeing, of all who live and work here.
Desert Minds also offers professional supervision support for individuals and groups, working in the mental health field or similar.
Whether it’s a work-related conflict, mental health issue, or a relationship crisis, Desert Minds offers competitive rates for private individuals, couples, and families seeking counselling support or dispute resolution, outside of EAP services.

Desert Minds offers conflict management via formal referrals, coaching, mediation, group facilitated discussions, as well as group and individual supervision, training workshops, and critical incident response and debriefing services.

Critical Incident Response
Desert Minds is a trauma-informed practice, offering critical incident support services to Territory organisations, including onsite support for individuals or groups, and include follow-up wellbeing checks.
Travel and associated expenses for Critical Incident Response services delivered to remote areas are charged at cost, with no profit margin added.
